What is the price of the POCO F1 in India?

The actual price will be revealed tomorrow. However, I expect the device to be priced around Rs 20 - 25,000/-. I think it will be launched to directly compete with the Honor Play.

As I had predicted, it starts at Rs 21,000/-. A second variant is priced at Rs 24,000. The highest end option sells for Rs 29,000/-.

When will it be available for sale?

The device will be launched on 22nd August 2018 and will be available to buy from Mi.com or Flipkart.com

The sale date is 29th August 2018 but you should expect typical Xiaomi Flash sales again for this device.

How many variants does the POCO F1 have?

The POCO F1 has 3 variants.

6 GB LPDDR4X RAM + 64 GB UFS 2.1 storage - Rs 20,999/-
6 GB LPDDR4X RAM + 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage - Rs 23,999/-
8 GB LPDDR4X RAM + 256 GB UFS 2.1 storage - Rs 28,999/-

Which processor does POCO F1 run on?

POCO F1 runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with Adreno 630 GPU. It is an absolute beast in terms of benchmark performance.

It also has some sort of liquid cooling built in to keep the device cool.

How many colors does the POCO F1 come in?

The device will be launched in 3 colors - Graphite Black, Red, and Blue.




How is the build Quality?

Though the device feels solidly built, the plastic back leaves a lot to be desired. A device costing more than Rs 20,000 and having a plastic back is definitely a letdown and shows serious cost-cutting.

These days even budget smartphones have a better build quality.

Does the POCO F1 support SD card?

Yes!

The smartphone does have support for SD card with capacities up to 256 GB.

Does it support Dual Sim?

Yes, It does a dual sim slot hybrid slot. It also supports Dual VoLTE.

Does it come with USB-C charging port?

Yes, the POCO F1 comes with USB-C port.

Does it have Fast Charging support?

Yes, it supports Quick Charge 3.



What is the battery capacity of POCO F1?

It comes with a whopping 4000 mAH rechargeable battery built in. This should allow this device to give more than one day of battery life even on moderate usage.

What is the Screen Size of this Smartphone?

It comes with a huge 6.18 inch FullHD+ LCD IPS display. It has a contrast ratio of 1500:1.

Does the device have a notch

Yes, it does have a notch.

Can We hide the Notch?

Yes, the notch is hidable. This is a feature built into MIUI.

Does it have a dual camera?

Yes, it does. It has a dual camera set up at the back.

It has a primary 12 MP sensor with dual pixel autofocus. 

The secondary lens is a 5 MP sensor mainly used for depth sensing and portrait mode. It also helps in improving the low light shots.

The setup is touted as the AI camera which is a buzzword amongst all smartphone manufacturers these days.

The overall quality is expected to be similar to Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi A2.




Does it have a front camera?

Yes, it has a front camera. This camera module is in the notch.

The front camera is a 20 MP sensor with pixel binning. It also supports portrait selfies. There is also a 3D sensor for depth sensing for portrait selfies.

The overall quality is expected to be similar to Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi A2.

Does it have Video Stabilisation?

There is no clarity on this right now but it should support video stabilization. It might launch with EIS, though the presence of OIS is not mentioned as of now.

Does POCO F1 have a fingerprint scanner?

Yes, the fingerprint scanner is present on the back. It also supports multiple gestures and features.

Does it have face unlock?

Yes, the smartphone supports face unlock. The Infrared sensor present in the notch offers some level of security when using face unlock and helps it work in the dark.

What Android Version is it running?

POCO F1 will launch running the Custom MIUI based on Android Oreo 8.1

It has its own POCO launcher which seems like a mix of MIUI and Pixel launcher. It now has an app drawer.



Will it receive Android P?

Yes, it will.

It is currently slated to receive Android P in Q4 of 2018.

Does it support FM?

Not confirmed yet. But historically MIUI in India has had support for FM radio so this device should also have this feature.

Does it support OTG?

Yes, it supports OTG.

What Bluetooth version does it have?

POCO F1 comes with Bluetooth 5.0

This should allow the device to connect to multiple Bluetooth speakers at once.

What all is included in the box?

The box contains the smartphone, a protective case, user manual and USB charger.

Does it have a headphone jack?

Yes, it has a headphone jack.
