Asus Zenfone 5z - Don't buy Android Flagship Smartphones!

Asus Zenfone 5z , OnePlus 6 , Honor 10 - flagship killers

With the recent launch of the Asus Zenfone 5z, we now have another contender for the top prize of being the FLAGSHIP KILLER.

But why just compare the flagship killers amongst themselves? Let's see if now they are as good as the big guns.

We have been hearing this term (FLAGSHIP KILLER) for a long time now. OnePlus has been trying to be the brand that produces flagship killers by offering flagship specifications at affordable prices.

However, no smartphone has been able to match the Android flagships completely.

But 2018 seems to be the year when flagships are finally defeated.

As is, for the past couple of years, Android flagships haven't been doing that well in terms of sales. This has been due to the fact that many cheaper Android smartphones have been offering compelling packages at affordable prices. And of course, they already had a huge competition from Apple's iPhone.

But with the kind of mid-range smartphone releases we have seen in 2018 until now, the future of Android flagships seems even more abysmal.

Honor 10, OnePlus 6 & Asus Zenfone 5z : Flagship Killers

Just look at the devices launched in the mid-range price segment in 2018 until now.

Honor 10, OnePlus 6, Mi 8...and now the Asus Zenfone 5z.

Each of them offers top of the line specifications and great features at almost half the price.

All smartphones run the latest high-end processors, latest and the fastest RAM and storage modules. All have a high capacity battery and offer great battery life. All of them have amazing screens and the latest flagship level designs.

All of them come packed with features including face unlock and an Apple Animoji clone.

Even when it comes to CAMERAS, the most important aspect in smartphone these days, they are neck and neck with the Android flagships, thanks to amazing sensors, and AI-based processing.

You can check out any camera comparison video on youtube. Honor 10 and OnePlus 6 have already proven that they have as good cameras as the Android flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S9, LG V30+ and more.

And if early reactions are any indication, the Asus Zenfone 5z camera looks to be no less.

All these facts do beg the answer to the question...!

Do we need Android Flagships?

I think we do!

The flagship smartphones bring the latest cutting-edge technologies to the market. Look at the changing aperture lenses and the super slow motion video that Samsung brought with its Galaxy S9.

I don't think we have asked the right question. I think the right question is, should we buy the Android flagships?

For the regular consumers, I don't think we should!

Android flagships are expensive and offer nothing special that's worth the extra money over the flagship killers like OnePlus 6, Honor 10 and Asus Zenfone 5z.

I feel that in a few years, only the tech geeks will be the ones buying the Android Flagships.

For everyone else, the flagship killers have arrived...finally!

I will share more detailed articles on Asus Zenfone 5z when I get my hands on it.
